WARNING
We have seen some reports that when batteries are changed then all fingerprint records are lost, please be aware of this.
Biometric door locks have may become more popular, there are a number of positives to these door lock types (no need to carry keys etc.) However there is not a large amount of independent testing and / or accreditation for these products currently available. They are also very expensive.
If you are interested in purchasing a sophisticated non-traditional door lock then be aware of these issues. There are also some other options available. These include Digital door locks and push button door locks. Neither of these options use fingerprint technology, however they do have a number of pros and cons when compared to biometric technology.
